Linnovate Partners Lends a Hand at Food Angel’s Kitchen

On August 5th and 21st, the Linnovate Partners team traded our office attire for aprons and gloves as we joined forces with Food Angel, a food rescue organization in Hong Kong. A total of 20 employees rolled up their sleeves to package meal boxes, contributing to a cause that’s changing lives one meal at a time.

Founded in 2011, Food Angel’s mission is to address the issue of food waste while simultaneously solving hunger in Hong Kong. Every week, Food Angel rescues a staggering 45 tonnes of edible surplus food that would otherwise end up in landfills. Through their process they distribute 11,000 meals and food packs each day, all free of charge, to those facing food insecurity in Hong Kong.

Working alongside Food Angel’s team, we gained valuable insights into food rescue operations. Our task of packaging meals, though simple, proved to be a critical step in the journey from surplus food to those in need. This hands-on experience gave us a new appreciation for the impact of small actions in addressing hunger and reducing food waste.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Food Angel for the opportunity to contribute to their noble cause, and we look forward to future collaborations that will help create a more sustainable and caring society.
